The "Secret Retirement Society" The Government Does NOT Want You to Know About…
- Payouts of just over $770 million a year go to people who have already taken advantage of this tight lipped "insider retirement society"…
- It's the perfect safeguard against a disappearing Age Pension…
- And almost every Australian can access this insider secret society legally…including you…
Dear Reader,
Even though you've worked your guts out all of your working life…and even though they promised it would always be there…you can no longer rely on getting the full Age Pension.
Treasurer Scott Morrison said it himself: the Age Pension should not be regarded as an entitlement for all, but rather a welfare payment for those who do not have the ability to save enough to fund their own retirement.
If you're one of the millions of people who sees the dignified, comfortable retirement you deserve slipping away…take heart…
… Because you could simply take advantage of…
The "Secret Retirement Society" The Australian Government's NOT Telling You About…
For the record, it's a way of retirement most Aussies know nothing about. Even though many people have legally retired this way…
… So much so, former Federal Human Services Minister, Marisa Payne was quoted in The Australian on this very topic, as saying, "We pay just over $770 million in pension payouts".
For the Australians who have already retired this way, it's a world where money has a completely different meaning and stress is nothing but a faded memory.
For many, they're living a life of luxury. They live in a very different world…all because they discovered a different way to retire.
If this is the first time you're hearing about this, I'm not surprised.
It's not something any Politician in Canberra would ever tell you about. I doubt you've ever received a letter in the post announcing it or read anything in the media either.
And you can't take advantage of it…unless you know about it.
Which is why I'm writing to you. I want to help you to break free of the mould—most Australians 50 years of age and above accept it as inevitable when it comes to their retirement…but you don't have to.
If you're like many Australians, you've likely felt it's your 'right' to be entitled to the Age Pension upon your retirement.
But what you may feel as a 'promise' from the Government…can be taken away at the stroke of a politician's pen.
There's no question: In today's world, your retirement is NOT as secure as you once thought.
Yet you have already made retirement plans on the expectation that your Age Pension would be there.
What's your alternative?
In the next 5 minutes I'm going to reveal to you—how you can access the Secret Retirement Society—legally…just like many other Aussies before you have already done…and help your retirement dollars go so much further.
By the way, you don't need to be retired to start taking advantage now. It doesn't matter if you're close to retirement or if retirement is still 10…15…or even 20 years off.
If you've ever dreamed of a luxury retirement without the million-dollar price tag…you owe it to yourself and your loved ones to keep reading.
Let's Not Beat Around The Bush…
Even though the government's not telling you about the Secret Retirement Society…it doesn't mean you don't deserve to know about it.
With the right intelligence…instead of planning a frugal retirement in the suburbs like your friends, you can plan your own escape from the mundane…
… To a life of exciting opportunities…and make the world your own…without being a penny pincher…where you can spend what you want, where you want…on anything you want…without your nest egg drying up like a creek in the harsh Australian outback.
And it's within reach this year…once you understand how to access the Secret Retirement Society…just like thousands of Australians already have…which is to…
… Live Better For Less—Retire Overseas
Imagine…meals out, day trips, massages, maids, flights to exotic destinations for so much less, the pages of your passport so scuffed from all that fun travel—you can have it all.
How would you like to discover paradise destinations all around the world that are cheaper…healthier…safer…and freer...than spending your golden years at home?
And imagine…tripling the purchasing power of every cent you have overnight.
If so, this might just be your ideal answer.
Now before you dismiss the idea of retiring overseas as too complicated…too risky…or so far-fetched, you think someone's pulling your leg…
Relax. It's not. And I am certainly not pulling your leg.
What you once thought of as a radical idea—isn't radical at all.
Because…moving overseas is much easier than you think. It's also quite clever.
And you can find out everything in a special report, which I'd like to send you, free. It includes how you could even retire in a country that has one of the world's best retirement programs.
I'll reveal how to reserve your complimentary 76-page copy in a moment.
First though…
… Here's 6 Snapshots of Aussie Expats Who Are Living The Dream Lifestyle Overseas
1. 'Phuket Has Put a Twinkle in My Eye'… For Tony Robertson, 69, from Brisbane, old age is not a consideration. He's spending his retirement enjoying the lifestyle in Thailand's 'Pearl of the Andaman' where he gets more bang for his buck than he could ever hope for in Australia.
He rents a one-bedroom apartment with a swimming pool, restaurant and service facilities, not far from Phuket Town, for $390 per month. He eats out nearly every meal at very affordable prices, with a full meal and beer costing from as little as $5. His total monthly budget, which includes his busy social life comes in at under $1,500.
At least once a year, he visits one of the island's best international hospitals. 'They test me for everything possible…check my blood, bones, heart, chest and all kinds of things for under $500. In Australia, this level of medical attention would cost me $2,000 or more.
It offers a high standard of living with access to everything I need at a bargain price, from accommodation to healthcare.'
2. Everyone Dreams of Retiring to Paradise… Paul Jones, 62 from Adelaide is enchanted with his new home in Chiang Rai, northern Thailand. One of the biggest advantages of his new home is the cost of living. 'I only pay $300 for a nice little two-bedroom townhouse just a few minutes away from the heart of the city.
'When it comes to food, I eat about half of my meals at some of the most popular local restaurants where it costs under $3 for lunch or dinner. Overall, I spend less than $1,000 a month for all my expenses, and get to live life exactly how I want.'
3. 'Kuta is a Bustling, Dynamic Place, But I Can Enjoy a Peaceful Stroll'… 'I wanted a great climate, low cost of living and somewhere close to home,' says 58-year-old Bernie Morgan, from the Gold Coast. A retired Australian Army officer, he says, 'The cost of living in Bali makes it easy to live here on my pension.
'Kuta is a bustling, dynamic place, but I can walk to the beach in 10 minutes and enjoy a peaceful stroll."
Bernie's apartment, located dead-centre in bustling Kuta Beach, costs about $400 per month. The apartment is comprised of a large bed—living room with adjoining kitchen, large balcony, a swimming pool, air-conditioning, fridge, pay TV and motorbike parking.
'The Balinese food is delicious and varied. A full Australian breakfast in my favourite little café, Gusti Warung (warung means café/restaurant), goes for $2.50, a delicious suckling pig lunch for the same price, and a cold local Bintang beer for the same price or less, with a local Bali coffee coming in at less than $1.'
4. 'I Have Never Felt So Welcome'… Bob Coleman from Perth, has one big regret: waiting until he was 55 before travelling overseas.
'I was a workaholic,' he explains. 'Then one day I thought of all the places I hadn't seen and all the countries right on our doorstep."
He began looking at which countries offered the best options for a pensioner to relocate to. 'If you research the countries in Southeast Asia, you figure out pretty quickly Cambodia offers the best cost of living combined with really simple visa rules.
'The Khmer people are a really friendly bunch and you can't walk down the street without somebody saying hello or giving you a big smile. I have never felt so welcome in a foreign country.
'When it comes to the cost of living, Cambodia is cheap as chips and I get by on under $1,400 per month. I could spend less than that but I like to eat out at nice restaurants and socialise a fair bit.
'My biggest expense is rent but I only pay $430 a month for a two-bedroom apartment in one of the nicest neighbourhoods at the centre of Phnom Penh. Utilities set me back $100 to $140, and I spend another $25 per month for unlimited WiFi so I can connect on Facebook and Skype with friends and family back home.
'The money from my pension would barely cover basic expenses back in Perth but in Phnom Penh I get to live life with a bit of luxury instead."
5. 'If you have a dream, you have to pursue it relentlessly'… Richard White, 57 from Sydney, was born in Australia but a taste of the overseas life when he was a child left a big impression on him.
'I spent many years dreaming about moving abroad again. As I got a bit older I figured life is too short. If you have a dream, you have to pursue it relentlessly.
'One of the main reasons I moved to Phuket is that Australia is too expensive. We have a great country, but cheap it is not. I worked all my life and accumulated a decent amount of unrestricted non-preserved benefits in my super that I could withdraw early.'
He realised his lifestyle in Sydney was going to quickly eat through his cash, and came to the conclusion that he would find better value for money in Asia.
After estimating the cost of a move to Thailand, he saw it was possible to reduce his expenses to less than $1,500 per month.
'I settled down in a small village in Kathu District at the centre of Phuket, where I rent a house nearby the Kathu Waterfall for only THB 7,000 per month ($270). Electricity, water and cooking fuel set me back close to THB 2,500 ($96) as I have a lot of electronic appliances and love to cook.'
Richard enjoys eating out at local restaurants, at the same places as the locals, where it costs less than THB 100 ($4) for a large curry with rice and a soft drink.
'Cost of living was an important factor for me, yet my greatest wealth has come from being healthy and happy.'6. 'It is a Great Place to Live'… Paul Pedersen (65) and his wife Aoy (59) both agree that they have moved from probably the most laidback place in Australia…Darwin, to its counterpart in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
'Chiang Mai is very easy-going,' says Paul.
They own their two-bedroom home in San Sai, 15 minutes outside of Chiang Mai, and a car, so figure their monthly budget is close to $1,600. About $40 of that goes to electricity each month.
They shop at the local markets, and can pick up enough meat and veggies for less than $5 to make a good meal for the two of them. Eating freshly made Thai food at a nearby mall, or on the street, only costs them about $2 each, so it is always a tossup between cooking and going out to eat!
Paul's getting a government pension, which provides them with enough to live on without dipping into their savings.
They plan on dividing their life between the two countries, and feel it will probably be a 70:30 split.
Those are just some of the Aussie expats who have radically improved their lifestyle by choosing to live or retire overseas—after discovering the Secret Retirement Society.
The 7 Top Reasons to Retire Overseas
- For a better quality of life, to live happier, healthier and with less stress.
- To escape the nine-to-five drudgery of a day job and work for yourself, to completely reinvent yourself, or not work at all if that's what you choose.
- To find more time to spend with your family, to pen that book you've always thought about writing, or to spend your morning fishing or snorkelling.
- To live more luxuriously than you ever could at home, for a fraction of the cost.
- To start your own business in a country where you'll pay fewer taxes and keep more of what you earn.
- To put yourself on the ground in a place that's about to boom and, in doing so, position yourself to profit.
- For the adventure of it—to learn a new language, make new friends and explore a new world.
And you can, too, thanks to that special report I mentioned.
It's called The Members-Only Guide to the "Secret Retirement Society". There's no way for you to buy this 76-page report anywhere. We conservatively estimate its value as $47…however it can be yours free.
Here's a small sample of what you'll discover inside:
- Cruise the seas in style…swap your 18-inch-wide seat and measly packet of peanuts for a 7-day luxury ocean crossing that costs less than the price of a flight on the same route.
- How you could stay anywhere in the world for free—like the people who stayed in Tahiti. The house was 260 square metres of beachfront opulence. It came with two maids, a cook, and a gardener, a 40-metre infinity swimming pool, and a one-year-old convertible Jeep Cherokee. (See page 12.)
- Looking for fun a stone's throw from home? You can live overseas part-time on these Islands, packed with scenic splendours, mountains, beaches, rainforest and lakes. The only difficulty is deciding where.
- 4 reasons to move to this affordable Caribbean Island... Beautiful shades of blue from the ocean everywhere you look and land that is deep green and punctuated with flowers. The water is clear, warm and the beaches are white-sand. (See page 31)
- 8 best locations to enjoy an international life. In the right places, $1,500 a month could buy you a comfortable lifestyle in a setting you love, pay for your food and utilities, a housekeeper…and still leave you enough money left over for entertainment and travel. You can live in luxury for a lot less than you think.
- If you'd prefer Europe, this region is a tapestry of mountains, olive groves, vineyards…often overlooked by tourists…has spectacular scenery, medieval castles and villages…you can find dozens of affordable houses and apartments on the market such as: A two-bedroom, one bathroom townhouse, 20 minutes from the Adriatic Coast with sea views from the living room on a clear day for $82,500.
- The European country ranked among the World Health Organisation's top 10 for quality health services.
- The world's best retirement program that entitles you to:
—50% off entertainment such as movies, theatres, concerts, sporting events anywhere in the country...
—30% off bus, boat and train fares
—25% off airline tickets
—50% off hotel stays Monday through Thursday
—25% off at restaurants
And much, much more.
I'd like to send you a copy of The Members-Only Guide to the "Secret Retirement Society" (value: $47)… And it's yours on the house simply for taking a look at our monthly publication called INTERNATIONAL LIVING AUSTRALIA…
My name is Jackie Flynn.
I'm the Publisher of International Living Australia.
Since 1979 International Living has been providing the intelligence to people from all over the world...revealing the Secret Retirement Society...which...is to live better for less...overseas.
We send daily emailed "postcards" to subscribers of our free e-letter. But these "postcards" are just the tip of the iceberg.
There's always a lot more to each and every story…
… There's a whole world of information and benefits that we reserve exclusively for subscribers to our magazine…and we like nothing more than identifying exciting opportunities all around the globe…for those readers.
In 2013, we expanded International Living to include a specific publication just for Australians. It's been transforming lives for the better. For example…
Case Study 1: 'Our Family of Three Lives Very Comfortably on $2,240 a Month and Saves Over $300 a Month on Medical Insurance'
Janet and John Nisted, both 51, are originally from Australia but took the decision to move to Penang, Malaysia.
They came to Penang because they felt trapped back home by the soaring cost of living that continually pushed dreams of retirement further away.
'The question: "Is this as good as it gets?" niggled at us. While friends planned a frugal retirement in the suburbs, we planned our escape.'
They were looking for somewhere with a lower cost of living, a warm coastal climate, an English-speaking culture, affordable health care, and flexible visa options. They found Malaysia.
'Like the climate, Penang's large expat community welcomed us warmly,' says Janet. 'So too did the locals. The diverse cultural mix here of Chinese, Malays, Indians, and expats means that no-one is regarded as an outsider. Despite its 800,000-plus population, Penang is small and retains a village vibe. It's easy to get to know people and easy to feel at home.
'The international airport is just one of Penang's big city advantages. You can shop at ultra-modern shopping centres, see the latest blockbuster at a high tech cinema, or take in a live international jazz performance in George Town.
'But living here doesn't come with a big city price tag. Our family of three lives very comfortably on $2,240 a month—and you can do it for a lot less than that, too. We're saving over $300 a month on health insurance alone. It's not necessary for most people here as top quality medical care is accessible and affordable. Extensive dental work for John last year cost around $3,300—back home it would have cost over $16,000.
'Hiring a cleaner isn't a luxury. A super-efficient Cambodian housekeeper cleans our house here for less than $6 per hour.
'Nineteen months after moving we have no regrets.'
Case Study 2: 'I Wanted to Live in a Real Italian Town…'
'It's a beautiful place to live, mountains and clean air, close to Rome, Umbria and Tuscany. The opportunity to live the Italian life and be a serious traveller rolled into one seems like a dream come true,' says 66-year-old Noelene McBride of her new life in Italy.
'There is so much to do and see and just be part of, from the medieval celebrations throughout the year to the day-to-day experience of living in an Italian town and shopping for simply fantastic fresh food.'
Noelene had a lifelong dream to own a house somewhere in Europe and to spend the majority of her time there. And after recovering from breast cancer, she decided it was time to make that dream a reality.
'I wanted to experience other ways of living and being. Both my husband, Ian, and I loved Italy and had started to learn Italian. We decided to live about half the year in Australia and half the year in Italy. The best of both worlds, it seemed. And so it was and is!' says Noelene.
Noelene wanted a small medieval town that offered the opportunity to live in a real Italian village, and easy access to a larger provincial medieval city or capital that offered a place to learn Italian, maybe an active summer music program, artisan places, slow food restaurants and a sense of community.
On Noelene's wish list for an overseas retirement haven was also easy access to other cities.
The couple bought an apartment in centro storico for around €100,000 ($150,000) with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and 100 square metres of living space. 'We also have a terrace with 360-degree views up to Monti Cimini and the Orsini Castle over the rooftops and church towers, and down to the valley of the Tiber.'
The couple fund their part-time expat life with their Australian pension, and they rent out their apartment to friends and family for €435 ($650) a month when they are not using it.
Case Study 3: 'I Do Nothing And It Takes Me All Day To Do It'
'Go for it! You are so fortunate to be able to live your dream.' This was the reaction from Steven and Mary's children when they were told about their parents' move to Chiang Mai, Thailand.
It was a chance online meeting five years ago that led Steven Hambley, 61, and Mary Mayfield, 58, to their new life together in Chiang Mai. They were strangers in Brisbane, Australia.
Mary says, 'I wasn't interested at the time, and neither was Steve, in having any kind of relationship. We just wanted someone to be able to go out with now and again. We got engaged here in Thailand this year about the first of November!'
Born and raised in Adelaide, Steve spent a couple decades in the military before retiring and moving on to work for the prison service and security for another 23 years. He says, 'It got to a point in work where I was sick to death of it. I knew at my age I wasn't going to start a new career.
'So I started doing some research online…just looking for places to retire. And Thailand, Chiang Mai in particular, came up in the top five continually. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense.'
At home Steve could see that he was going to have to work another 10 years, minimum, before he could retire anywhere near comfortably.
'But I did the maths and if we moved to Chiang Mai, we could do it now. So that really solved it. It was up in the top five of the best places to be…and cheap.'
They are currently renting a two-bedroom, two-bathroom, 130-square-metre luxury apartment in one of the high-end complexes in the centre of the city. The $1,900 monthly rent is equivalent to many others' total budget.
'We are right in the middle of the city; we can ride out from here in all directions. You could easily pay $2,000 per week for the same type of accommodation in the centre of Brisbane.'
Keeping busy here is not a problem. They are involved with a couple of organisations in town, and are now looking at going into the police department for a couple of days a week to teach English.
Steven says, 'I tell people I do nothing and it takes me all day to do it! There's a whole lot of stuff. We go out to lunch every day. We have people visiting.
'We go for rides on the bike out and about. Sometimes we just walk down the street for lunch and end up finding new things to explore. Sometimes we find great things just because we get lost!'

Recently, we revealed to our subscribers about bargain real estate deals in an undiscovered part of Tuscany, Italy.
Under The Tuscan Sun…for Under $80,000
Our European Editor reported on what she describes as "Undiscovered Tuscany"…Tuscany's hidden treasure of marble mountains, chestnut woods and villages with communal olive presses.
Threaded by rivers and pilgrim paths, its identity hasn't been diluted by tourism's demands…where a one-bedroom house, with views of the Apennine Mountains from the terrace is priced at $76,315.
Unspoiled doesn't mean uninhabited. With a skyline of medieval churches with Roman bridges and houses climbing in layers up to a castle, it's like it's straight from a medieval dream book.
Indulge in as much 'doing nothing' here as you want.
